01. Location Data

We need to know where you are to show you the fuel prices around you. Your location is sent to our server to find nearby stations and calculate drive times, but it is never stored, logged, or linked to your identity. It is processed in the moment and immediately discarded.

You can use the app without granting location access by manually searching for a UK address or postcode.

02. No Accounts

You don't need to create an account to use nozzle. We don't want your email address, your name, or your phone number. Just open the app and find fuel.

03. No Tracking

We don't track you across other apps or websites. We don't sell your data to advertisers. We're in the business of finding fuel, not selling your habits.

04. Fuel Price Data

The app fetches fuel prices and drive times from our API, which sources data from the UK Government's Fuel Finder API. Your location and a device attestation token are sent with each request — the location is used to return nearby stations and drive times, and the attestation token verifies you're using a genuine copy of the app. No personal or identifying information is included in these requests, and nothing is stored on our server.

05. Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device. On iPhone this uses Apple's SwiftData; on Android this uses Room. This includes cached station information, your saved stations, your preferences, and price history snapshots. None of this data leaves your device.

06. Third-Party Services

Drive time calculations are performed on our own server — your location is never sent to external routing services. On iPhone, Nozzle uses Apple MapKit for map display. On Android, Nozzle uses MapLibre for maps. Apple's and MapLibre's own privacy terms apply to their services. We do not use any other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising frameworks, or tracking services.

07. No Advertising

Nozzle contains no advertisements and does not use any advertising identifiers or tracking pixels.

08. Children's Privacy

Nozzle does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

09. Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
