The Short Version
Nozzle does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your location stays on your device. We have no servers, no analytics, and no tracking.
Location Data
Nozzle requests access to your device's location to find nearby fuel stations and calculate drive times. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
You can use the app without granting location access by manually searching for a UK address or postcode.
Fuel Price Data
The app fetches fuel prices from publicly available JSON endpoints published by UK fuel retailers as required by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). These requests are made directly from your device to the retailer endpoints. No personal or identifying information is included in these requests.
Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Cached fuel station information and prices
- Your saved/bookmarked stations
- Your preferences (fuel type, navigation app, appearance)
- Price history snapshots for trend tracking
None of this data leaves your device.
Third-Party Services
Nozzle uses Apple MapKit for drive time calculations and map display. Apple's own privacy terms apply to their services. We do not use any other third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising frameworks, or tracking services.
No Accounts
Nozzle does not require or support user accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, and no personal information collected.
No Advertising
Nozzle contains no advertisements and does not use any advertising identifiers or tracking pixels.
Children's Privacy
Nozzle does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. As Nozzle does not collect any contact information, we cannot notify users directly of changes.
